Our Belief

ICA believes that the bible is our all-sufficient rule for faith and practice. This statement of fundamental truths is intended as a basis of fellowship among us (i.e. that we all speak the same thing, 1 Cor. 1:10; Acts 2:42). The phraseology employed in this statement is not inspired, or contended for, but the truth set forth is held to be essential to a full gospel ministry. No claim is made that it contains all Biblical truth, only that it covers our need as to these fundamental doctrines.

Our History

The ICA, a local church under the Malawi Assemblies of God, began as an attempt to reach out to groups of people that was being sidelined by the great church planting movements of the late 1980s and early 1990s in Malawi, when the Malawi Assemblies of God (MAG) experienced exponential growth. The church, which averaged 150 congregations in 1989, grew to 1500 churches by 1999. The leaders of of the Church recognized that International groupings and the emerging population of professionals had been excluded from this revival.
