As the first day of the National Youth Convention in Detroit came to a close, the locals were already touched by the more than 10,000 visitors to their city. Stacey Foster, who pastors one of the AIM hub churches, sees that God is strategically using Detroit 2010 to impact the local church.

Study: Parental guidance on movies curbs drinking

According to a new study, parents who don't allow their children to watch R-rated movies are keeping them from drinking and smoking. Dartmouth pediatrician James D. Sargent says children who watch these movies are more prone to "sensation seeking" and risk taking.

Last year, Gleanings for the Hungry ministry produced 4 million pounds of food for partnering churches and missions agencies. As part of their partnership, Convoy of Hope transports donated goods to Gleanings for the Hungry and they transport the final product to Convoy of Hope — this allows both agencies to help feed the hungry.
